EXPANDING TOUCH

A laboratory for listening contact and bodywork

There is magic in the simple listening touch; it is sensitive and receptive to the living sensations and meanings harbored in the nervous system. Once we have learned the basics of listening, the contact between two (or more) nervous systems can be explored in so many ways. The experiences that occur can expand and enhance the sense of being and meaning in the world.

In expanding touch we guide you to explore and expand the possibility of communication through contact. We will always start off with exercises to reconnect with the internal sense of ourselves, and from there we will start to experiment with communicating with others through physical contact.

NB. To attend this workshop it is necessary to have been to a 'Listening touch - introduction to contact' workshop.

In this laboratory of body, sensation and communication we will explore the landscape of the nervous system and interconnectedness.

Learning to sense yourself better is crucial for being able to really connect with others, while acknowledging and honoring your own needs, desires and boundaries.

Learning to sense oneself and others more and better can also be a way to access deeper and richer experiences of meaning and connectedness in general.

We will therefore work both on our own internal experiences and expanding it to include others in various ways of relating.

We will explore the range of qualities of touch and sensation. And we will explore the ideas and experiences of boundaries and nervous system co-regulation. Everything is founded in the Alexander technique; working towards bodily clarity, grounding and sense of ease, through the exploration and integration of new sensations.

Listening touch is sensitive and non-invasive; open and receptive to the living sensations and meanings harbored in the nervous system. Learning to listen means becoming quiet in order to tune in and pick up the subtlety of the inner body's sensory language.

Alexander Technique is a modality that works at the intersection of mind, body and emotions by bringing awareness to subtle internal bodily sensations and the constant interplay between body and awareness. Through Alexander Technique we can rediscover the intelligence of the nervous system. Becoming more aware of how we are present in the world - with ourselves and with others - can be both enriching, meaningful and therapeutic.

DANISH/ENGLISH

Nervous-system-language is a universal language! We speak Danish and English, so the workshop will be held in English or Danish (or a mix) depending on the needs of the participants.

Nervesystems-sprog er universelt! Vi taler dansk og engelsk, og workshoppen afholdes således på det sprog, eller den blanding af sprog, der passer til deltagerne.
